This year's Hessen International Summer University, organised by the Justus Liebig University Gießen, focussed on the issue of "Biotechnology and Intellectual Property Rights - European Perspectives from Business and Law". Over 30 participants from 16 countries came to Gießen for the four-week course which will close with a festive ceremony on Friday. The Hessen International Summer University s organised annually and provides and interdisciplinary programme for undergraduates, postgraduates and young professionals in the field of biotechnology.
