The annual conference of the International Herder Society will be held in Jena this year. From August 18th to August 21st, 2008, around 80 international researchers from around the world will come together to discuss the works of the important German philosopher.The programme features scientific talks and discussions as well as excursions and a varied evening programme. The Herder medal 2008 will also be awarded at the conference.
The International Herder Society was founded in 1985. It has 140 members from around the world and biannually publishes the Herder Yearbook since 1992.
