The universities in Bayreuth, Brunswick and Greifswald are Germany's most cosmopolitan universities! The three institutions of higher education are the winners of the second "Welcome Centres Competition", which has been run by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, the Deutsche Telekom Foundation and the Donors' Association for the Promotion of Sciences and Humanities in Germany. According to the jury, they presented the most innovative concepts for ensuring that international researchers feel welcome in Germany and are able to concentrate on their work under the best possible conditions. As winners of the competition, the three universities receive up to 125,000 EUR each to improve their mentoring of foreign researchers.
