The international initiative is a $ 2.5 million, two-year programme, funded by a grant from the Amgen Foundation, one of the largest biotechnology companies in the US. It offers an intensive and high-profile summer research programme to students pursuing a graduate degree and a career in science. The other two host universities of the programme will be the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom and Karolinska Institutet in Sweden.
