With its "Jean Monnet Centre for Europeanisation and Transnational Regulations" (CETR), the University of Oldenburg aims to establish a new centre for the coordination, organisation and support of international initiatives in European research. The new research institute will operate from this autumn onwards and has already been granted EU funding of up to 75.000 EUR. The new Jean Monnet Centre will comprise an international graduate programme as well as organise an annual summer school, there will be an overall thematic focus on the effects of European integration on national social structures.
